Ingredients:

• 4 potatoes, boiled, peeled, chopped
• 1 cup – coconut, grated
• 1 tbsp – Tamarind pulp
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 4 Red Chillies
• 1 tbsp – Coriander seeds
• 2 Cloves
• 1 tsp – black gram (urad) dal
• 4 tbsp – oil
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 5 Curry leaves
• Salt and Sugar to taste

Method:

  1. In one tsp oil, fry coriander seeds, cloves, urad dal and red chillies.
  2. Grind with coconut, tamarind and turmeric to a paste.
  3. Heat remaining oil.
  4. Add mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  5. When they pop, add potatoes and the paste.
  6. Add salt and sugar.
  7. Simmer once.
  8. Serve with rotis.
