Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Raw Rice (wash and keep aside)
• 1/4 cup – Masoor Dal (wash and keep aside)
• 3 – Cardamoms
• 3 – Cloves
• 2 – Pieces of Cinnamon
• 2 tsp – Ginger Garlic paste
• 1 tsp – Chilli powder
• Salt to taste
• 3 tbsp – Oil or Ghee
• 2 tbsp – Chopped Coriander leaves
• 2 tbsp – Mint leaves
• 1 – Bay leaf.
Method:
- Heat oil in a vessel and fry the whole spices and bay leaves for 2 minutes.
- Add the ginger garlic paste, chilli powder and saute for a few minutes.
- Add the washed rice, dal and stir fry for a few minutes.
- Now add the coriander leaves, mint, salt and 3 cups of water and cook till done.
- Serve with curd or any curry and pickle.
