Ingredients:

• 500 g – Mutton
• 2 cup – onion, finely sliced
• 1.5 cup – black Masoor (whole), washed and drained
• 2 tbsp – Ginger Garlic paste
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 1/2 tsp – chilli powder
• 2 tsp – sambar powder
• 3 green chillies, slit
• 2 tbsp – oil
• 2 tbsp – Lime juice
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Cut mutton into bite size pieces.
  2. Heat the oil in a pressure cooker.
  3. Fry onion till light brown.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and fry till fragrant.
  5. Add all the powders, fry for few seconds.
  6. Add mutton, Masoor, tomato and green chillies. Add salt to taste.
  7. Add about 3 cups of water and pressure cook for 20 minutes.
  8. Add lime juice and serve hot with steamed rice or Chapathi.
