Ingredients:

• 500 gms – Almonds
• 500 gms – mava
• 500 gms – Sugar
• 1.5 cups Ghee
• 10 Cardamoms
• 1 grated Nutmeg
• 2 cups – pure Ghee

Method:

  1. Heat half the ghee, sugar and water on a low fire till sugar melts.
  2. Increase the heat slowly and let the syrup boil for a few minutes.
  3. Add the remaining ghee and mava gradually stirring constantly.
  4. Add sliced almonds and pure ghee.
  5. Continue cooking till the mixture leaves the sides of the vessel.
  6. Remove from fire, add powdered cardamom and nutmeg when slightly cool.
  7. Spread on a greased thali and cut into squares.
