Methi Muthia Recipe, a tasty Gujarati Recipe made from wheat flour, fenugreek leaves and besan. It’s a steamed fenugreek dumplings in a thick gravy. Enjoy this methi muthia in this cool winter season.

Ingredients

– 1 cup gram flour (besan)
– ? cup finely chopped fenugreek leaves
– 1 finely chopped green chili
– 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
– For the gravy
– 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
– 1 medium onion
– 2 peeled tomatoes
– ? teaspoon cumin seeds
– 1 teaspoon ginger paste
– 1 teaspoon garlic paste

How to Cook?

1. Add gram flour in a bowl then add the fenugreek leaves, green chili and oil. Knead into a semi-hard dough and let the dough rest for 5 minutes.
2. ?Divide the dough into ? ?round balls.
3. Grease the steamer and steam the balls for about 7-8 minutes.
4. for the gravy, heat the oil in a wok; add the onion and fry it till it turn brown in color.
5. Add the tomatoes, cumin seeds, ginger paste, and garlic paste; cook for about 10 minutes or till the gravy it thick.
6. add the steamed balls and cook for 5 minutes.
7. Serve hot with tea or you can have it as it is.
