Ingredients:

• minced Mutton – ½ kg
• raw Peanuts – 150 gm
• grated Coconut – ½ cup
• Ginger – 1 tsp, chopped
• Garlic – 1 tsp, chopped
• chili powder – 1 tsp
• Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
• cumin powder – 1 tsp
• coriander powder – 2 tsp
• Cinnamon 2 cm pieces
• Onion – 1 cup, sliced finely
• Lime juice – 2 tbsp
• oil – 3 tbsp
• Cloves 2cardamom 2
• Coriander leaves to garnish
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Grind coconut, ginger and garlic to a smooth paste and mix with chili, turmeric, cumin and coriander powders.
  2. Heat oil; add cloves, cinnamon and cardamom.
  3. Fry for few seconds.
  4. Add onion and fry till it is light brown.
  5. Add minced mutton and fry till is brown and dry.
  6. Add the coconut and spice paste, fry till fragrant.
  7. Add peas and about 11.5 cup water.
  8. Add salt to taste.
  9. Cover and simmer till mutton and peanuts are cooked and the gravy is very thick.
  10. Remove from fire, stir in the lime juice.
  11. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
