Ingredients:
• 800 g – minced Prawns
• 8 – wooden skewers
• 2 tbsp – salt
• 2.5 tbsp – Sugar
• 1.5 tbsp – black pepper
• For crumbing:
• 1 cup – dried bread crumbs
• 1 – egg, beaten
• Sweet and sour dipping sauce:
• 160 ml – sweet and sour sauce
• 2 pcs – Lemon
• 30 g – salt
• 30 g – black pepper
• 2 pcs – Red Chilli
Method:
- Mince the prawns. Mix together with the seasonings.
- Put on sugarcane skewer or wet wooden skewer (approx. 100 g prawn mixture to be placed around sugar case or the wooden skewers).
- Dip in beaten egg then finely ground dried bread crumbs.
- Leave to dry, about 1-2 hrs.
- Deep fry until golden brown.
- Mix all the dipping sauce ingredients together.
- Serve 2 prawn sticks per person with the dipping sauce.
