Ingredients:

• 100 grams – flour/maida
• 100 grams – semolina/sooji
• 1 cup – Milk
• 1/2 tsp – salt
• 2 tsp – vanilla essence
• 200 grams – Sugar
• 1 tsp – Lime juice
• 4 tbsp – oil

Method:

  1. Melt the sugar with 1 cup of water and 1 tsp vanilla essence over high heat till a fairly thick syrup is obtained.
  2. Keep aside to cool.
  3. Mix the flour, semolina, milk, 1 tsp vanilla essence, 1 tbsp sugar and salt to a smooth batter.
  4. Heat oil in a flat pan.
  5. Pour a spoonful of batter in the pan and spread a little.
  6. Cook on both sides and then soak in sugar syrup.
  7. Serve hot or cold.
