Ingredients:

• Mochai/Field Beans-1 cup
• Turmeric Powder-1/4 tsp
• Red Chilli Powder-1/4 tsp
• Garam Masala Powder-1/2 tsp
• Grated Coconut-1/4 cup
• Green Chilli-2
• Cumin-1/2 tsp
• Mustard-1/4 tsp
• Oil-2 tsp
• Salt to taste
• Coriander leaves-a few

Method:

  1. Soak mochai/field beans over night. In the morning, pressure cook it for 3 whistles.
  2. Transfer the cooked mochai to a pan. Add some water and then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and garam masala.
  3. In a blender add cumin, grated coconut and green chillies. Grind to a smooth paste.
  4. Add this to the cooked mochai. Add salt and cook till raw smell goes away.
  5. Temper with mustard and oil and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with rotis and rice.
