Ingredients:

• 1 cup – green gram (moong) dal (without peel)
• 1/2 cup – sour green mango, chopped finely (do not peel)
• 1/2 cup – carrot, chopped finely
• 1/2 cup – grated Coconut
• 1/2 cup – coriander leaves, chopped
• 2 – green chillies, chopped
• salt to taste
• For Seasoning:
• 1 tbsp – oil
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Asafoetida powder
• A few Curry leaves

Method:

  1. Soak the moong dal in water for one hour.
  2. Drain and mix with mango, carrot, green chillies, salt, and coriander leaves and grated coconut.
  3. Heat oil for seasoning in a small fry pan. Add mustard seeds.
  4. When they splutter, add asafoetida and curry leaves.
  5. Add the seasoning to the kosumbari and mix well.
