Ingredients:

• 1 cup – Moong dal
• 7 to 10 – Red Chillies
• 2 Cloves – Garlic
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• Salt as per taste
• 2 Tbsp – Lime Juice
• For Seasoning: 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1 tsp – Chana dal
• a pinch – Hing
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 2 to 3 – Curry leaves
• 2 tbsp – Oil

Method:

  1. Soak moong dal for 30 mins. Then grind moong dal, red chillies, cumin seeds, salt and garlic into a thick fine paste.
  2. Take oil in the seasoning pan, add mustard seeds.
  3. When they start spluttering, add urad dal, chana dal and hing. When the contents become golden brown, add curry leaves and the seasoning mix to the ground paste.
  4. Then add the lime juice.
  5. Serve with hot rice and ghee.
