Ingredients:
• 1 cup – whole Moong
• 2 cups – Poha
• 2 – Onions
• 2 – Tomatoes
• 4 – Green chillies
• 1 inch piece – Ginger
• 2 Cloves – Garlic
• 1 cup – peanuts, coarsely powdered
• 1 cup – grated Coconut
• 1- small bunch coriander
• A few Curry leaves
• 2 – Cardamom
• 2 – Cloves
• 1/2 cup – cooking oil
• 2 to 3 tbsp – Ghee
• salt
Method:
- Soak moong overnight.
- Drain and put the moong in a wet muslin cloth to sprout – sprout them well.
- Clean wash and drain the poha.
- Keep it for 1/2 hr to soften.
- Grind the onions, tomatoes, ginger, green chilly and garlic to a fine paste.
- Fry and powder the cardamom and cloves.
- Heat oil, add the ground masala and fry well.
- When the oil separates add ghee.
- When ghee melts, add poha and salt.
- Mix well. Add sprouted gram.
- Mix well and cook for 2 mins.
- Take off the fire.
- Add peanut powder, grated coconut, finely chopped coriander leaves and curry leaves.
- Mix well add the powdered spices.
- Serve hot with fried papads.
