
Ingredients:
• 2 cups – Basmati Rice (cooked)
• 2 – Onions (sliced lengthwise)
• 2 – Green chillies (slit opened)
• 1 tsp – Ginger-garlic paste
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 1 tbsp – Pav bhaji powder
• 1 tsp – Ajwain seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1 cup – Mushrooms (chopped as small chunks)
• 1/4 cup – Green peas (optional)
• Salt
• Oil
• A Few – chopped Mint leaves
Method:
- Heat enough oil. Fry the ajwain seeds and cumin seeds until they turn brown.
- Immediately add the sliced onions and ginger-garlic paste.
- Saute until the raw smell goes away.
- Add the slit opened green chillies, chopped mushrooms and green peas.
- Cook everything on simmer along with garam masala powder, pav bhaji powder and enough salt until the vegetables get well cooked and the oil gets separates.
- Immediately, add the already cooked basmati rice and toss gently until everything gets well mixed.
- Finally, add the chopped mint leaves and serve hot with papads or with any spicy side dish.
