Ingredients:

• 4 – buns
• 2 to 3 – potatoes, large ones
• 2 – Onions
• desiccated Coconut – 1/2 cup
• 4 to 5 flakes – Red Chillies
• half a Garlic
• besan – 1 cup
• salt – to taste
• oil to fry
• pinch – Turmeric
• cumin – a few
• mustard – a few
• Urad Dal – a few
• chillies – a few
• Curry leaves – a few

Method:

  1. First, boil the potatoes. Mash them and mix salt.
  2. In oil, fry cumin, mustard, urad dal, curry leaves and green chopped chillies.
  3. Add them to the mashed potatoes and mix well.
  4. Make small balls of them and keep aside.
  5. In a pan, heat oil.
  6. In a bowl, add besan, salt, chilli powder and dip the potato balls made earlier. Fry them in oil and keep aside.
  7. Grind desiccated coconut, red chillies and 5-6 cloves of garlic after adding salt.
  8. Now, cut the bun, add chopped onions, the coconut powder and place one potato ball on it.
  9. Close the bun and serve it with fried green chillies.
  10. Serve with green coriander chutney or red chilli paste.
