Ingredients:

• 200 g – dry Anchovy (nettili)
• 5 tsp – grated Coconut
• 5 – Red Chillies
• 1 – Garlic pod
• 1 tsp – oil
• Curry leaves, a few
• Coriander leaves, a few
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Wash dry fish, strain dry and keep aside.
  2. Make sure that there are no sand particles on it.
  3. Heat wok, add oil, fry dry fish, remove and keep aside.
  4. In the remaining oil, fry the garlic pod, red chillies, grated coconut, curry leaves and coriander leaves till brown.
  5. Add everything along with salt and blend coarsely.
  6. Do not add water, it should be absolutely dry and coarse.
  7. Sprinkle in steamed rice or eat as side dish with steamed rice or chapatti.
