Ingredients:

• 1/2 kg – thoor dal
• 1/2 – fresh Coconut
• 10 -12 – Green chillies
• 1 pinch – Hing
• salt

Method:

  1. Soak tuvar dal for two hours.
  2. Grind it coarsely.
  3. Sprinkle little water on tuvar dal and steam cook the ground tuvar dal in a pressure cooker for 15 mins.
  4. Add chopped green chillies, salt, shredded coconut and hing to the steam cooked dal. Mix it well.
  5. Make small balls, arrange them in idli stand or cooker container and steam them for 10-12 mins.
  6. You can serve this nucchina unde with moor kolambu or chutney.
  7. This will be perfect for evening snack.
