Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup – Basmati Rice
• 2 cups – Milk
• 1/2 cup – Sweetened condensed Milk
• 15 – Almonds
• A few Pistachios (grounded) for garnishing
• 1/2 tsp – Cardamom powder
• 1/4 tsp – Almond essence
Method:
- Soak the almonds in 1/4 cup of warm milk for an hour and grind as a fine paste.
- Cook the basmati rice in a pressure cooker along with the remaining milk for 3 whistles.
- Once the steam get released, add the sweetened condensed milk, grounded almond paste, almond essence, cardamom powder and cook everything until the kheer thickens.
- Serve warm or chilled with some pistachios.
