Ingredients:
• 4 cups – rolled oats
• 4 cups – all purpose flour
• 2 cups – white Sugar
• 1 cup – Butter
• 1 cup – shortening
• 1 cup – shredded Coconut
• 1 cup – lukewarm water (that has been boiled and cooled)
• 2 tsp – baking powder
• 1 tsp – baking soda
• 1 tsp – salt
Method:
- Hand mix the dough. Add water and work into dough. Make dough into one-inch balls.
- Flatten with a fork or design bottomed glass for imprint.
- Place on greased cookie sheets and bake at 400 degrees F.
