Ingredients:
• 3 tsp – Oats
• 1 – Red Chilli
• 1 – Green chilli
• 1/2 inch – Ginger, grated
• Curry leaves – 5 -6
• Coriander leaves – a few
• 1 tsp – Oil
• 100ml -Butter Milk
• Salt to taste
• 200 ml Water
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Urad Dal
• A pinch of Asafoetida
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and allow to splutter.
- Add urad dal, red chilli and asafoetida.
- Add ginger, green chilli and chopped curry leaves too.
- Now add the oats and the water.
- Add salt, and cook till the oats are tender.
- Take off the gas, allow to cool and add the butter milk.
