Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup – rolled oats
• 1.25 cup – Toor Dal
• 1 tbsp – Peppercorns
• 1/2 tsp – Asafoetida powder
• 4 – Dry Red Chillies
• Salt

Method:

  1. Dry roast the rolled oats, toor dal, peppercorns, dry red chillies and asafoetida powder till the toor dal turns golden brown.
  2. Let it cool completely.
  3. Grind as a fine powder with enough salt.
  4. Conserve it in an air-tight box.
  5. Enjoy with rice.
