Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Bhindi/ Okra, chopped into 1-inch pieces
• 1 cup – Curd
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala
• 1/2 tsp – Coriander powder
• 1/2 tsp – Sugar
• 2 tbsp – Oil
• Cilantro/ Coriander leaves to garnish
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. In a pan heat oil and when hot add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and fennel seeds.
  2. As they splutter add cut okra to it and cook till they are half done.
  3. Once half done add turmeric powder and salt.
  4. Cook further on a slow flame till they are fully cooked.
  5. Prepare a mixture of curd by beating curd and then adding sugar, salt, red chilli powder, garam masala and coriander powder to it.
  6. Once fully cooked, add the curd mixture to the cooked okra.
  7. Switch off the flame.
  8. The heat in the cooked okra is sufficient enough to cook the curd gravy.
  9. Garnish with cilantro and enjoy with flat bread or rice.
