
Ingredients:
• 1/2 kg – Baby Potatoes
• 3 Onions (large and chopped)
• 4 – Garlic Cloves (crushed)
• a few Curry leaves
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• Salt
• Oil
• Roast and grind:
• 4 – Dry Red Chillies
• 10 – Black peppers
• 1 tsp – Fennel seeds
• 2 tbsp – Coriander seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Flax seeds
• 2 tbsp – rolled oats
• 1inch Cinnamon stick
Method:
- Dry roast all the spices under the list ‘roast and grind’ and keep aside.
- Meanwhile, cook the baby potatoes in water with salt until they are well cooked, peel the skin and keep aside.
- Heat oil, fry the cumin seeds, crushed garlic cloves until they turn aromatic.
- Then add the chopped onions, curry leaves and saute until the onions turn translucent.
- Now add the cooked potatoes, turmeric powder and salt. Cook on medium flame for a few minutes.
- Finally add the ground spice powder as per requirement and cook on simmer till oil separates.
- Serve hot with rice and dal.
