Ingredients:

• Onion – 2, chopped
• Dry Red Chillies – 4
• Coconut powder – 1 tbps
• Salt to taste
• Oil
• For seasoning:
• Mustard Seeds – 1 tbps
• Curry leaves for garnishing

Method:

  1. In a pan, heat oil and saute onion till pink.
  2. Remove from pan and keep aside.
  3. In the same pan, fry red chillies.
  4. Grind onion, red chillies, coconut powder and salt, adding little water to make a paste.
  5. Remove into a bowl.
  6. In little oil, fry mustard seeds and curry leaves and add that to the chutney.
  7. Serve with idli or dosas.
