Ingredients:
• sifted flour – 1 cup
• baking powder – 1.5 tsp
• salt – ½ tsp
• Egg yolks – 2
• sunflower or Corn oil – 2 tbsp
• Orange juice – 1/3 cup
• grated Orange rind – 1 tbsp
• Egg whites – 4
• Cream of tartar – ½ tsp
Method:
- Sift flour sugar substitute, salt and Baking powder in a large bowl.
- Make a well in the center and add egg yolk, oil and orange juice and rind.
- Beat the mixture till smooth.
- Beat the egg whites with cream of tartar till stiff and gently fold into the batter.
- Pour the mixture into a chiffon cake mould.
- Bake in a mode oven (170C) till the cake is done. (about 50 minutes)
- Invert the cake on a wire rack and cool completely before turning out of the tin.
