Ingredients:

• 4 – Butter fish (pabda)
• 6 – sliced Green chillies
• 4 tbsp – Mustard oil
• 4 tbsp – chopped Coriander leaves
• 1/2 tsp – black cumin
• 2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Wash and clean the fish. Remove the jaws, sprinkle salt and turmeric powder on the fish. Leave aside for a while.
  2. Heat four tbsp of mustard oil in the pan, heat it. Add black cumin, turmeric powder, some water and sliced green chilies.
  3. Add the fish, reduce flame. Let the fish boil and soften, turn the fishes softly on the other side. Do it very carefully so that the fish does not break.
  4. Add salt and coriander leaves. Make sure the gravy does not dry up.
  5. Pour the fish along with the gravy on a flat dish.
  6. Sprinkle mustard oil over it. Garnish with more chopped coriander leaves and sliced green chillies.
