Ingredients:
• Horse gram (kollu) – 5 tbsp
• Toor Dal (thuvaram parupu) – 1 tbsp
• cumin – 1/2 tbsp
• Black pepper (kurumulagu) – 10
• Curry leaves (karivepillai) – 10 (finely chopped)
• Coriander leaves (kothumalli thalai) – as required (finely chopped)
• Mustard Seeds (kaduku) – as required
• Oil/ghee – 1 tbsp
• Tomato – 1 (finely chopped)
• Garlic – 2 (finely chopped)
• Small Onion – 6 (finely chopped)
Method:
- Heat oil in a vessel and fry mustard, curry leaves, garlic and onion.
- Add tomato to this mixture and add water.
- Finely grind horse gram, tuvar dal, jeera, pepper in a blender and mix it with the contents in the vessel.
- Close the lid and allow it to boil for 5 minutes.
- Pour enough water.
- Remove it from heat and garnish with coriander leaves.
