Ingredients:

• 7 – pakoda
• 1 – Onion
• 2 – Tomatoes
• small quantity – Ginger
• 3 flakes – Garlic
• 3 – Green chillies
• 1/2 cup – grated/Shredded Coconut
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• small quantity – Curry leaves
• small quantity – Coriander leaves
• 2 – Cashew nuts
• 1 tsp – red chili powder
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 tbsp – Poppy Seeds
• 1 tbsp – Cumin seeds
• salt to taste
• oil for frying

Method:

  1. Make pakodas.
  2. Cut onions and smash tomatoes in a mixie.
  3. Make ginger-garlic paste after peeling off the skin.
  4. Grind grated coconut, poppy seeds, green chillies, cumin seeds, cashew nuts and make them into a paste.
  5. Heat oil in a pan/kadai, add cumin seeds, ginger-garlic paste and onions and fry them well.
  6. Add tomatoes which are smashed, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, little salt and curry leaves and boil them for some 3 minutes.
  7. Add coconut paste.
  8. Finally add pakodas and garnish with coriander leaves.
