Ingredients:
• Broken basmathi Rice
• 1 cup – Sugar
• 2 cups – Milk
• 8 strands – Saffron
Method:
- Put all the ingredients together in a big pressure cooker.
- Bring to full pressure, then reduce heat and cook for 20 minutes.
- Remove cooker from heat and allow it to cool naturally.
- Place cooker on medium heat and cook until a creamy consistency is obtained, stirring constantly.
- Place the payasam (kheer) in serving dish.
- Serve hot or cold.
