Ingredients:

• 1 cup – split green moong dal
• One bunch – Palak
• Salt to taste
• 1/4 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 4 to 5 – whole Red Chilli
• 1 cup – Coriander leaves
• 1 tsp – oil for seasoning

Method:

  1. Boil dal, coriander leaves, palak, salt and turmeric together after cleaning them. This should take 30 mins (can also be pressure cooked).
  2. When cooked, mash it lightly.
  3. Heat a tsp of oil in a kadhai and fry the cumin seeds.
  4. When they splutter, add the red chillies, the dal and palak mash. Mix well and serve hot with rice or rotis.
