Ingredients:
• 2 cups – Maida
• 2 cups – Sugar
• 1/2 cup – Ghee
• 1/2 tsp – baking soda
• oil to fry
Method:
- Mix maida, ghee and baking soda to make a chapatti-like batter. Make small puris. Make 4 or 5 cuts to each puri and twist.
- Deep fry in hot oil.
- Make a one-string sugar syrup; add the fried panasa thonalu to it.
- Keep them in sugar syrup for 5 to 10 minutes and remove.
- Once they are cooled, can be stored.
