Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Maida
• 2 cups – Sugar
• 1/2 cup – Ghee
• 1/2 tsp – baking soda
• oil to fry

Method:

  1. Mix maida, ghee and baking soda to make a chapatti-like batter. Make small puris. Make 4 or 5 cuts to each puri and twist.
  2. Deep fry in hot oil.
  3. Make a one-string sugar syrup; add the fried panasa thonalu to it.
  4. Keep them in sugar syrup for 5 to 10 minutes and remove.
  5. Once they are cooled, can be stored.
