Ingredients:

• Maida – 1.25 cups
• Egg – 1
• Milk – 1 cup
• Oil – 1 tbsp
• Sugar – 2 tbsp
• Baking powder – 1/2 tsp
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Beat the egg thoroughly.
  2. Add maida, milk, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  3. Mix well to prepare the batter.
  4. Do not over beat the batter, without lumps, the pancakes won’t be fluffy.
  5. Put a pan on medium to low heat.
  6. Add a little oil with a spoon or a sprayer.
  7. With a big spoon, drop the batter into the centre of the pan.
  8. Make sure the pancake is about 1/4 inch in width.
  9. Cook the pancake golden brown on both sides.
  10. Serve hot with honey, butter or margarine.
