Ingredients:

• 200 g – Paneer
• 50 g – gram flour
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1 pinch – soda bicarbonate
• Salt
• For chutney:
• 1/2 cup – coconuts, grated
• 6 flakes – Garlic
• 2 – Green chillies
• 1/2 inch piece – Ginger
• A handful of Mint leaves
• 1 cup – Coriander leaves
• A handful of Curry leaves
• 1 – onion, big
• 1 tbsp – Lime juice
• Salt
• Chilli powder

Method:

  1. Grind all the chutney ingredients together.
  2. Mix flour with turmeric powder, soda, cumin seeds and salt.
  3. Add enough water to form a thick batter.
  4. Cut paneer lengthwise into two pieces. Then into small squares.
  5. Sandwich two squares together with chutney.
  6. Dip the chutney filled squares in the batter and deep fry to a golden colour.
  7. Serve with ketchup.
