
Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup – Toor dhal
• 1 to 2 tbsp – Coconut
• 2 small – Red Chillies
• 2 pods – Garlic
• 1/2 tsp – Pepper Corns
• Hing(Perungayam) a pinch
• 1 tsp – Oil
• Salt to taste
• Water – as required
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan, dry roast dhal till golden brown. Set aside.
- In the same pan, add coconut, pepper corns , garlic, red chillies, salt and hing and roast till coconut turns slightly brown and chillies are crisp.
- Allow it to cool and grind with a little water to a semi coarse paste.
- Add water according to the consistency you want.
