Ingredients:

• 1/4 cup – toovar dal.
• 1/4 cup – urad dal.
• 1/2 cup – Channa dal.
• 1 tbsp – grated coconut.
• 3-4 – green chillies.
• 2 – red chilli.
• 1 – pinch hing.
• 4-5 – curry leaves.
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder.
• 1/4 tsp – garam masala.
• 1 tsp – Lemon juice.
• 1 – Garlic cloves.
• 3 tbsp – chopped coriander leaves.
• salt as per taste.
• oil for deep frying.

Method:

  1. Wash and soak all dals for 3 hours. Grind them into a fine paste with green chillies, red chillies, curry leaves and garlic.
  2. Then add all the remaining ingredients except oil for deep frying.
  3. Make small vadas of the mixture and flatten it slightly.
  4. Deep fry the vadas till they turn golden brown.
  5. Serve hot.
