Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup – grated coconut.
• 15 – black pepper corns.
• 2 tbsp – fennel.
• 4 – medium sized ridge gourds.
• 1 – onion.
• 1- tomato.
• 1 – green chilli.
• 1/2 tsp – turmeric.
• 2 tbsp – oil.
• A few curry leaves.
• Salt.
Method:
- Grind coconut, fennel and pepper to a thick smooth paste.
- Pour oil in a pan. Add chopped onions, fry till transparent.
- Add curry leaves, green chilli and turmeric.
- Add tomato and cook well.
- Now add the chopped ridge gourds, cook till it becomes tender.
- Add some water and salt. Cook covered for 7 mins.
- Make sure that the vegetable is cooked.
- Add the ground masala to the vegetable.
- Cook till the masala is absorbed.
- Serve hot with chapattis or rice.
