Ingredients:

• fish fillets – 350 gm.
• oil – 4 tbsp.
• Garlic – 2 tsp, finely chopped.
• Onion – 1 cup, finely chopped.
• chilli powder – ½ tsp.
• cumin powder – ½ tsp.
• Turmeric powder – ½ tsp.
• freshly ground black pepper powder – ¾ tsp.
• ready to use Tamarind pulp – 1 tsp.

Method:

  1. Chop the fish into tiny pieces.
  2. Heat oil, fry garlic till brown.
  3. Add onion, fry till light brown.
  4. Add all the powders.
  5. Add fish, salt and tamarind.
  6. Add ¼ cup of water and simmer till the fish is cooked and the mixture thick.
  7. Place some filling on chapatti or paratha.
  8. Sprinkle with some finely chopped fried curry leaves.
  9. Roll up and serve.
