Ingredients:
• Curd (Yogurt) – 2 cups
• Mango – 2, raw or ripe cut into small pieces
• Red Chillies -7
• Jeera – 1 tsp
• Grated Coconut – 1 cup
• Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
• Salt – to taste
• Oil – 2 tbsp
• Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
• Methi seeds – 1 tsp
• Curry leaves – few
Method:
- Heat oil, put mustard seeds and methi seeds.
- Add the mango pieces and sufficient water, to cook the mango well.
- Add salt, turmeric powder and cook till the mango is done.
- Grind the coconut with the red chillies and jeera well.
- Add this to the mango.
- Add curd, mix it well and let the whole thing boil for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Add curry leaves in the end.
- Morukoottan is ready.
