Ingredients:

• Methi – 1/2 kg
• Onion – 2
• Garlic pods – 4
• Green chilli – 1
• Red Chilli powder – 1/4 tsp
• Salt to taste
• Oil/Ghee
• Mustard – 1 tsp
• Jeera – 1 tsp
• Fenugreek seeds – 1 tsp –
• A pinch of Hing
• 4 cups – cooked Rice

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and season with mustard, jeera, fenugreek and hing.
  2. When mustard splutters, add finely chopped garlic, onion and green chilli.
  3. Add finely chopped methi and fry till done.
  4. Add salt, red chilli powder and saute for a minute.
  5. Blend this with steamed rice and serve with pappad.
