
Ingredients:
• 1/2 kg – rice.
• 125 gm – green gram (moong dal).
• 4 cups – yoghurt.
• 1 tbsp – cumin seeds.
• 2 tbsp – Ginger paste.
• 3 bunches – curry leaves.
• 3 – chillies.
• 2 tsp – pepper powder.
• 2 tbsp – ghee.
• salt.
Method:
- Wash and soak rice and moong dal for 30 minus. Add 4 cups of water to yogurt and mix well to make buttermilk.
- Add ghee to pressure cooker, add cumin seeds, curry leaves, chillies, ginger paste, pepper powder, salt.
- Now add drained rice, moong dal and buttermilk. Close the lid and cook up to 2 whistles.
- Now shift the cooker from flame and set aside until cool. Pongola rice is ready.
