
Ingredients:
• 10-15 Cloves – garlic.
• 1 – onion, chopped.
• 2 – tomato, chopped.
• Tamarind – Lemon size.
• 1/2 cup – Coconut Milk or paste.
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder.
• 1/2 tbsp – chilli powder.
• 1/2 tsp – coriander powder.
• 2 tbsp – oil.
• 1/4 tsp – mustard seeds.
• 1 stick – curry leaves.
• Salt to taste.
Method:
- Heat pan, add oil and season with mustard and curry leaves.
- Cut garlic cloves into half and fry well until light brown.
- Add chopped tomatoes and fry until tender.
- Add turmeric, coriander, chilli powder and fry for 2 minutes.
- Add 1/4 cup water to it. Let it boil for 5 minutes.
- Add coconut milk or paste, and salt to taste.
- Soak tamarind in 1/4 cup water, and add to the above. Cook until the gravy thickens.
- It can be served with hot plain rice and pappadam.
