Ingredients:

• 10-15 Cloves – garlic.
• 1 – onion, chopped.
• 2 – tomato, chopped.
• Tamarind – Lemon size.
• 1/2 cup – Coconut Milk or paste.
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder.
• 1/2 tbsp – chilli powder.
• 1/2 tsp – coriander powder.
• 2 tbsp – oil.
• 1/4 tsp – mustard seeds.
• 1 stick – curry leaves.
• Salt to taste.

Method:

  1. Heat pan, add oil and season with mustard and curry leaves.
  2. Cut garlic cloves into half and fry well until light brown.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes and fry until tender.
  4. Add turmeric, coriander, chilli powder and fry for 2 minutes.
  5. Add 1/4 cup water to it. Let it boil for 5 minutes.
  6. Add coconut milk or paste, and salt to taste.
  7. Soak tamarind in 1/4 cup water, and add to the above. Cook until the gravy thickens.
  8. It can be served with hot plain rice and pappadam.
