
Ingredients:
• 3 – Potatoes boiled and sliced in roundels
• 1 – onion, sliced
• 1/2 tsp – garlic, chopped
• 1 tbsp – Butter
• 1 tbsp – Corn flour
• 2 cups – Milk
• 1/2 cup – grated, cheese
• 1 tsp – mixed herbs
Method:
- Heat 1 tbsp butter. Saute onions and garlic for 1 minute. Add potatoes and saute till a little brown (be careful not to break them).
- To make white sauce: Heat 1 tbsp butter and add 1 tbsp corn flour. Cook for 1 minute. Add 2 cups milk and cook till a little thick.
- Preheat convection oven at 180 C.
- Grease ovenproof dish.
- Pour a little white sauce on the base.
- Layer with onion-potato mixture.
- Pour white sauce. Grate cheese.
- Garnish with mixed herbs and bake for 20 minutes.
