Ingredients:

• 1 cup – Channa
• 1/4 cup – Potatoes
• 1/4 tsp – chaat masala/garam masala powder
• 1 pinch – chilli powder
• 1 tbsp – green chutney
• 1 tbsp – Dates chutney
• 1 small – onion, chopped fine
• 1 tbsp – coriander leaves, chopped fine
• 2 tbsps – sev (optional)
• Salt
• 1 tsp – Lemon juice

Method:

  1. Soak channa overnight for at least 6 – 8 hours. Pressure cook channa until soft, drain water and keep aside.
  2. Pressure cook potatoes for 3 – 4 whistles until soft.
  3. Peel the skin and mash it roughly, keep aside.
  4. Now in a bowl, add channa and boiled potatoes, combine it with the chaat masala powder, lemon juice, chilli powder, salt, green chutney, dates chutney and mix well.
  5. Finally add onions and garnish with coriander leaves and sev on top.
  6. You can also add raw chopped tomatoes.
