Ingredients:

• 250 gms -potatoes.
• 100 gms- tamarind.
• 4 tsp- cumin powder.
• 1/4 tsp- Mustard Seeds (rai).
• a bunch of curry leaves.
• 2-3 flakes of garlic, ground.
• salt and Red Chilli powder to taste.
• 125 gms- oil.

Method:

  1. Boil, peel and cut the potatoes. Heat oil. Fry mustard seeds until they splutter.
  2. Add the ground garlic and fry for 2-3 mins.
  3. Then add cumin powder, curry leaves, salt and chilli powder and stir well.
  4. Soak tamarind in little water and take out the juice.
  5. Add tamarind juice in the fried masala.
  6. Finally, add the potato pieces and cook them for 5-10 mins. Serve them hot.
