
Ingredients:
• A small round – Tamarind
• 2 tbsp – oil
• 1/2 tsp – mustard
• 1/2 cup – onion, finely chopped
• a few – Curry leaves
• 250 gm – shelled, cleaned Prawns
• 1/4 tsp- Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – pepper powder
• 250 gm – shelled and cleaned Prawns
• 1 tsp – salt
• 1/2 cup – grated Coconut
Method:
- Soak tamarind in water and extract the pulp.
- Heat the oil in a pan.
- Add mustard. When they crackle add onion and curry leaves.
- Fry till onions turn pink.
- Add prawn, salt and turmeric.
- Fry till prawns are cooked. Add chilli and pepper powder.
- After few seconds, add tamarind pulp. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add coconut and simmer till almost dry.
- Serve with steamed rice or chapatti.
