
Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup – puffed Rice (poha), dry roasted and powdered
• 2 potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed
• 1/4 cup – groundnuts, dry roasted and powdered
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 2 onions, finely chopped
• 6 green chillies, finely chopped
• 1 inch ginger, finely chopped
• Coriander and curry leaves, finely chopped
• 2 cups – cornflakes, slightly crushed
• Salt to taste
• Oil for frying
• For the batter:
• Mix together (ensure that the batter is of thick consistency):
• 2 tbsp – plain flour
• pinch of salt
• Water, as required
Method:
- Mix together all the ingredients, except cornflakes.
- Divide the mixture into lemon-size patties of the mixture, dip each patty in the batter, and then roll it over the cornflakes.
- Pat gently to ensure that the cornflakes stick to the patty and then deep fry in medium hot oil till golden brown.
