Ingredients:

• Base:
• 60 gms – Butter
• 60 gms – Sugar
• 150 gms – Refined flour
• 2 tsps – Baking powder
• 1 – Egg
• Filling:
• 150 gms – Butter
• 150 gms – Sugar
• 3-4 – eggs
• 1 kg – Quark
• 1/2 pack – Pudding /custard powder
• Raisins (optional)
• 1 tsp – Lemon juice (Optional)

Method:

  1. Base:
  2. Melt butter and mix it with sugar.
  3. Add egg and mix thoroughly.
  4. Sieve the flour and baking powder and form a soft dough with melted butter-egg mix.
  5. Filling :
  6. Melt butter and mix it with sugar.
  7. Separate the egg yolk from the white.
  8. Add the egg yolk to the butter and sugar.
  9. Add lemon juice (optional).
  10. Add pudding /custard and mix well.
  11. Add the quark and mix thoroughly.
  12. Beat the egg white nicely and add to the above.
  13. Add the raisins and mix (optional).
  14. Baking:
  15. Spread the base in a cake pan (circular).
  16. Fill the pan with the filling over the base.
  17. Bake it at 175 degrees F (preheated) for 1.25 hours.
