Ingredients:

• 1 cup – basmati Rice
• 1.5 cups – water
• 2 tbsp – Ghee
• 1 – Onion (chopped)
• 2 – Cardamom
• 2 – Cloves
• 10 – pepper Corns
• 1 tsp – Ginger Garlic paste
• Chopped Mint leaves

Method:

  1. Wash and soak the basmati rice for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat the ghee in a pan and fry the cardamoms, cloves, peppercorns and chopped onions for few seconds. Immediately add the ginger garlic paste and stir until the raw smell goes away.
  3. Now add the soaked rice, fry for few seconds and add the water. Transfer the rice to rice cooker.
  4. Once the rice gets cooked, add the chopped mint leaves and serve with raita or any spicy side dish.
