Ingredients:

• 3 – Potatoes.
• 4 tbsps – oil.
• 1 tbsp 1/2 Chana dal.
• 1 tsp – mustard seeds.
• 1 tsp – jeera.
• 1/2 tsp – urad dal.
• .
• For Grinding:
• 4 to 5 – Garlic pods.
• 1 tsp – coriander seeds.
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder.
• a pinch – Turmeric powder.
• 1 tbsp – Coconut powder.
• salt to taste.

Method:

  1. Take a thick bottom pan and add oil in it.
  2. Add mustard seeds, jeera, urad dal and allow them to splutter. Add the washed channa dal.
  3. Now add the peeled and diced potato pieces, mix well and let them stand for five minutes on medium heat.
  4. Then keep stirring till all the potato pieces turn golden brown.
  5. When the potatoes are brown, add the ground powder to it and mix well.
  6. Serve it with white rice or lemon rice.
