Ingredients:

• 1.5 lbs – pumpkin, chopped into small pieces
• 4 tbsp – finely chopped Onions
• 3- green chillies, finely chopped
• 1/2 tsp – mustard
• 3 tsp – oil
• A pinch of Turmeric powder
• 3 tbsp – Milk
• 1/4 tsp – Tamarind paste
• A few Curry leaves
• Some Coriander leaves – chopped finely
• chilli powder – a little (optional)

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard. Once it splutters, add green chillies, curry leaves & turmeric.
  2. Next, add onions and fry well.
  3. Then add pumpkin pieces, salt and the tamarind water to it.
  4. Once pumpkins are cooked, add the milk and heat on medium heat for about 7 – 8 min.
  5. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve with rice or rotis.
