Ingredients:
• 2 – raw plantains
• Roast and grind for masala:
• 1 tbsp – Channa dal
• 1/2 tbsp – Urad Dal
• 1/2 tbsp – dhaniya
• 1 tbsp the – Coconut
• For seasoning:
• 1 tbsp – oil
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1 tsp – mustard and Jeera
• Curry leaves
• 1/4 tbsp – Tamarind pulp
• Salt to taste
• 1 tbsp – oil
Method:
- Peel the plantain and cut into small cubes.
- In a pressure cooker, add the plantain, 1/2 cup of water, salt and turmeric and cook for 3 whistles.
- Heat oil in a kadai and add the seasoning along with urad dal, mustard and jeera.
- Add chopped green chillies and curry leaves.
- Now add cooked plantain along with water.
- Let it simmer on the stove for 2 mins until the water evaporates.
- Add the ground powder and some tamarind pulp. After a minute switch off the stove.
